PLEASE--NO Olympics in Chicago

And this is why:
Six Men Shot Dead In 24 Hours In Chicago

Black people are killing black people in Chicago.
  • It's not racism.
  • It's not some grand conspiracy.
  • It's not white people killing black people.
It's horrible. Black kids are dying because black kids are killing them.
And somehow it's someone else's fault.

Mayor Daley--let the police do their jobs. They can get a handle on this. Let's stop all this political correctness and recognize what's going on.

Not grieving

Michael Jackson, world famous pedophile, dead at 50

Would you have let that guy ANYWHERE near your kids?
Ok, he wasn't convicted, but EGAD, CREEPY to say the least. YUCK.
Feel sorry for his kids, but feel joy for them because they won't have to live with covers over their faces or be around that creepy guy anymore. ICKY is a nice way to describe him.

The most egregious takeover by the Congress

has just occurred. The "American Clean Energy and Security Act" was just passed by the US House of Representatives. Shameful.

Keep in mind this piece of trash will cost all of us dearly and will take away your freedom to do as you please with your real estate.

Amazingly Bill Foster, our representative here, voted no. I'm shocked he didn't buckle under to the Pelosi crapfest she probably threw at him. I'd bet more than a few folks (including me) from our district got in touch with him and expressed our opinion and desire that he vote no. SHOCKING that he actually (this once) voted the wishes of his district.

Here is a link to the roll call vote: http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2009/roll477.xml

"Today, the House bowed to the altar of radical
environmental extremism. 'Man-made' climate
change is a myth and cult, and its lies are based
upon faulty computer models that act as the
movement's oracles."—ALG President Bill Wilson.

People who fail to act as adults

Ok, I admit it. I watched the "big announcement" on Jon & Kate +8 tonight. I used to watch the show fairly regularly but kind of got tired of the whining and moody behavior of the children. No, the adults didn't bother me much up until TONIGHT. So here we go--I'm going to list my grievances, and you can agree or disagree--just venting a bit here because I've been reading some other blogs that focus entirely on this show and the evolution of the relationship between J & K.
1. both those people need to grow up. COME ON--you have 8 kids and how the hell can you not be scared to death about the influence of television and all those press jackals on them?
2. Jon REALLY aggravates me. Egad, he's 32 and is now sporting 2 earrings. What man does that to himself unless he's having a serious mid-life crisis and is trying to nail some young chickie.
3. Jon--you have 8 kids. Get some b**ls and GET A JOB. Your kids need to see a positive role model--not some guy who is driving a Z and cruising for chicks at night clubs. Get your ass home and stop trying to act like you're a 20-something single guy. You're out chasing 23 year old bimbos--they are trash for dating a married man, and you buddy, are the ultimate horned dog piece of garbage. Grow up you creep. Your wife took charge because you are a baby and someone needed to be in control.
4. Kate--lose the hair. Geez, it's ugly.
5. All you Kate bashers--do you have a clue how tough it is raising kids--and how about raising 8 kids???? You have to be a dictator if you want to have any hope of having any order in their lives and your life. Someone has to be the adult and make sure the kids are fed, clothed, and get to school on time.
6. It's summer--so no school. Instead of traveling to all those stupid locations TLC has for you why don't you just stay home and conduct class (home school) or take them to ballet or tumbling or whatever like other normal families?
7. To their relatives who have decided to bad talk them to the media---YOU ARE SCUM. Ok, you might have a beef with J & K but did you really expect that anything would be resolved by your sitting for interviews and then ripping into them for the tabloids? YOU ARE SCUM and if you had a brain in your head you wouldn't talk about them--it hurts the kids--or don't you care?
8. To all the people who run TLC--CANCEL THE SHOW. It's like watching a train wreck now. Time to pull the plug. Pay them off and move on to other shows. And please, no more multiple children shows. Makes my uterus hurt.
9. Kate--you should shut up, stop the book trips and speaking engagements and stay home. People will get tired of trying to dog you. You're the mom--be a mom and just let all this go. You got your 15 minutes of fame and it's done. Unfortunately in today's world that 15 minutes can kill your privacy, your marriage, and any hope for normalcy. Time to pull back and hunker down on your million dollar estate. Enjoy it--you earned it.
10. Jon--GROW UP, GROW UP, GROW UP. Stop the passive-aggressive crap and MAN UP.

So I guess you can see where my sentiments are. I'm kind of sick of those people who rag on Kate and talk about how much she's changed and how demanding she is. EGAD--when my kid was young I was probably pretty nasty too sometimes. It comes with the territory--motherhood is tough, and sometimes you get the brunt of the criticism whether it's earned or not. A good man (and I'm lucky and happy to have one) knows when to fight back, when to give in, and when to go along. I've changed physically, mentally--in how I look and how I think. We all change, and every marriage changes. You have to keep the goal in mind. A very wise woman (my mom) once told me to always remember WHY you got married (LOVE). You need to move ahead while doing what's best for your kids and your spouse but not forgetting yourself. That is hard, especially when you are tired, have too much to do, and probably not enough time to do it in. When you think things won't get done unless YOU do them you might be right. But not everything needs to get done---I think that's the hardest thing for women to remember. Once in a management class I took (a long time ago) I learned one great principle: Some things will not get done. A good manager can handle that. Sometimes I'm a good manager--but honestly I've become better as I've aged. When I was younger I tried to do it all--and didn't get much done--and sometimes felt like a failure. The lesson I've learned is it's ok to fail sometimes, but better to succeed at most everything. Little failures--big success.
