If you ask it you get accused of horrible things

But here's the question: Was Obama elected because he's black--or was it one of the primary reasons?????

Well, just came across a great article by Juan Williams in the Wall Street Journal. Go to this link: Judge Obama on Performance Alone - Let's not celebrate more ordinary speeches.

"There is a dangerous trap being set here. The same media people invested in boosting a black man to the White House as a matter of history have set very high expectations for him. When he disappoints, as presidents and other human beings inevitably do, the backlash may be extreme..."

"There is a lot more at stake now, and to allow criticism of Mr. Obama only behind closed doors does no honor to the dreams and prayers of generations past: that race be put aside, and all people be judged honestly, openly, and on the basis of their performance.

President Obama deserves no less."

I like the article and agree with much of Mr. Williams said. Here's a question: Would he have been elected, or even nominated, if he were white? Good question, but no one will ask it in the media (other than Rush Limbaugh) because they're all "so enlightened."
