Gov. Jim Doyle won't seek re-election
The folks in Wisconsin must be very happy. Doyle is clearly way too far to the left for most sensible Wisconsin voters, in spite of his 2 elections to the governor's office (remember the people of the great State of Illinois elected Rod-Blo twice, so we have our shameful moments also). Here's an interesting quote from the article I read about his decision not to run for governor again: "But sources familiar with his decision not to seek a third term say Doyle recognized the difficulties he may have faced next year and didn't want to go through another campaign after a long political career."Read more: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0809/26145.html#ixzz0OJYZfRV1
Just a dose of reality there--Doyle, you'd probably lose--so deciding to sit the next one out might be a smart move. Maybe he can go work for the No-bama administration. They're clearly in need of some more leftists to help them push our country further and further to socialism. Doyle would be a big help with that! He's been pushing Wisconsin further and further to the left the entire time he's been Governor up there in Cheese-land.
And from the Wisconsin State Journal: "The last year has seen the 63-year-old governor’s job approval ratings plummet to 31 percent. Wisconsin has lost 123,000 jobs over the past year." Sounds like a great performance---for a Demon-crat.
