Amid budget woes, state police get hundreds of new cars
"The replacement of some of the state's more than 2,400 cars comes as Gov. Pat Quinn is considering a plan to shutter state police district headquarters and lay off 460 state police employees as part of his bid to close a $13 billion budget gap."
So Mr. Quinn: are you buying those new cars so the troopers can leave them in their driveways or are you going to park them at the closed State Police districts? Geez, what an idiot.
