As I read my Tribune this morning and dined on my cholesterol lowering oatmeal I was watching the CLTV news and saw a crawler on the bottom of the screen about Randy Salerno from CBS Channel 2 having died. How incredibly tragic.
Apparently he was a passenger on a snowmobile in Eagle River, Wisconsin, and his driver had been drinking and speeding, lost control and struck several trees.
Mr. Salerno lived in Crystal Lake, near my childhood home. He leaves behind a wife and three children. Our condolences to them.
