Did you get this card too?

Hopefully this is where he'll be next year.....

Merry Christmas!

I love Christmas but Santa please--MAKE IT STOP SNOWING !!!!

And here's the connection of the scum known as Rod Blo to SEIU

As if you didn't have reasons before to be suspicious of any union's involvement in politics---here's more stuff that should make you really have some concerns.

Who is really to blame for the mess Illinois is in?

How about you?

And how about some links to the tripe about Rod Blo?
1. Quinn calls for special election
2. John Kass delivers another gem
3. If you think the selling of the US Senate seat (which ISN'T OBAMA's--IT BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS), you're wrong. There are LOTS of other reasons Rod Blo is a criminal.
4. BLAGO--the people want you GONE. Get a clue buddy.

And the criminal speaks

Do you think this guy EVER has had the best interest of the people of Illinois in mind? If you believe that I've got a few bridges to talk to you about....This is one self-centered fella.

Thanks to every dope who voted for him. Don't blame me--I voted for Judy Barr Topinka.

And now some good cartoons about Rod Blo

Ain't it great to have your governor be the laughing stock of the country? Ya, it's the dream of every voter in Illinois....

Just a few tidbits

Haven't posted in the last couple days because I've just been overwhelmed by the wildness going on about our scum governor. I am thoroughly amazed at how many Democrats are absolutely without shame (ya, really shocked. NOTE: eyes rolling). COME ON--They know how blatant Blago has been about his ongoing blackmail of individuals for cash in exchange for his granting them contracts, legislation, or whatever else he could dole out as our state's chief executive. Ya, like everyone in this state hasn't known for the longest time what the guy was doing.... Anyone who watched the news at night, who read ANY daily Chicago newspaper (even the constantly fawning Sun-Times), who listened to any AM-radio station that broadcasted news---everyone knew that Blago's behavior was so far over the edge, that it was only a matter of time before he thoroughly disgusted everyone by demanding a sizeable campaign contribution from the wrong person who would break the code of silence and turn him in. Don't you really wonder where the newly outraged Democrats have been all this time? Don't you wonder how many contractors or hospital adminstrators or whatever called the U.S. Attorney's Office and spoke to investigators about how they'd been strong armed by Blago or someone from his office? Don't you REALLY believe there are MANY more counts that Blago will be indicted on before all this shakes out?

Well here some links to really good stories. Take a look...
1. The Capital Fax Blog
2. Link to the Illinois Supreme Court (about Att. General Madigan's request for a TRO)
3. Chart of "Pay for Play" in the Washington Post
4. "Blago faces dim financial future" (wow, he's REALLY in debt--talk about living above your means. He's a Northwestern grad--I thought he'd know better after such a fancy smarmy education)
5. What about some of the decisions that need to be made?
6. "Many look to undo Blago's initiatives"
7. Why Blago won't resign
8. One of my most favorite things I've read from Hennessy's View:
"This whole episode is a great lesson in how Democrat politics works. Blagojevich was using the power of the state purse to control the news coming out of the Chicago Tribune, to funnel money from a children’s hospital into his own pocket, and to control a labor union. This is Democrat at its best. The only difference between Chicago Democrats and the others is that the Chicago breed are too stupid to cover their tracks."

Some reading material about our scum governor

Some announcers said it was a sad day for Illinois--NOT ME--I think it's a GREAT DAY for Illinois because RodBlo is going to jail

This morning as I sat and read my Chicago Tribune and drank my coffee the happy announcement came over WGN--Rod Blo was arrested at his home early today by the FBI. Thank God for the FBI and that FINALLY Patrick Fitzgerald had the guts to arrest the most corrupt governor this state ever had.

So take a look at this link: Hennessey's View. (Fascinating opinons about the relationship between Blago and Obama.)

Believe me, all of us who are NOT dazzled by the BHO messiah aura someplace deep in our hearts know there is a connection there--know there is corruption there, and know that Daley, Blago and Obama and all his cronies are crooks. We believe they have their ultimate prize--the presidency, and they will do all they can to enrich themselves and their cohorts. We believe they will enslave America with their Socialist strategies and watch other countries take advantage of us and laugh at us. And we are victims of the BHO aura--dazzling as it may be. Let's just hope it doesn't blind us to the myriad of bad things that can happen to our country, to our image throughout the world, and ultimately to our survival. Sound ominous? Ya, probably, but when you look around at all the swirling garbage around us it makes you think that just about anything is possible.

1. Here's the charges against Blago.
2. Here's the press release from the US Attorney's Office about the charges against Blago.

"Teachers Unions Bankrupting American Education"

Just came upon this wonderful website and the information it offers. Take a look at this:
"Big labor unions have destroyed countless American industries, including the Detroit automakers who are now begging Congress for a bailout. But these unions don’t just control factories and assembly lines. Our public education system is a slow-motion car crash, driven by the same union special interests that brought the auto companies to the brink of bankruptcy."

This insightful new video shows how teachers unions protect bad and incompetent teachers, block school reform efforts, and use their members’ dues money to support a radical left-wing agenda."

The Truth about Teachers Unions from Union Facts on Vimeo.

I always said that when a union came to my school and (in effect) forced me to join I would quit. I stuck to my word.

Also from this website: "These unions fight tooth and nail against any meaningful change to their comfortable status quo – while students and taxpayers pay the price."

I still hate snow

So this morning we had tickets to go to watch the Illini play in Chicago at the United Center. Sounds like a plan, right? Well unfortunately the SNOW just wasn't going to let us do that. Woke up to lots of snow, not a promising weather report, and news stories of accidents all over the highways. So today we're listening to the Illini (men) play Georgia and we're very hopeful they can do well against them. Of course we're cursing the snow (and not enjoying the driveway cleaning, etc) which prevented this annual and very fun Chicago trip. And most of all, the Illini women play following the men, and they need some serious fan support. They've been in a 5 game slump, and need some fans to put some air under their wings when they play Bradley today.

But there are lots of reasons to be thankful (as there always are), and here are some:
1. Don's Sharpening did a wonderful job rehabbing our snowblower, and it works great. Fortunately we brought it in to get worked on in early fall and they brought it back to life nicely.
2. A warm house because of a new furnace (installed last year) with a dual speed fan motor that kicked into high gear to keep our casa cozy.
3. The mortgage is paid for this month--we are not the "1 in 10" who aren't making their mortgage payments or are in foreclosure.
4. The FedEx truck that just came and delivered my new Dell Wireless Printer that I ordered on Cyber Monday. (see a prior posting about printer/computer fatigue)
5. The snow plow drivers in my town were out last night/this morning and did a nice job clearing my street. Now only if they don't pile up snow to 6' in front of my mailbox like they did last year....
6. Fresh peanut butter cookies I baked this morning while I listened to the Illini on the radio. Fresh cookies are ALWAYS a good thing.

Yep, there are LOTS more things to be thankful for, but these are just a few.

So what did you do on Cyber Monday?

After struggling with trying to find replacement cartridges for an HP Printer/Fax/Scanner (they're too darned expensive) I decided to FINALLY hook up the $25 Epson printer I got LAST YEAR the day after Thanksgiving to my husband's desktop computer. It's sure a lot handier having a printer on that desktop computer than trying to boot up another computer in the house with a printer attached just to get something printed out. So after I got that one going I decided to check out the online specials after a story on the news about what great deals there were out in cyber-land. Best Buy had a wireless laser printer deal for under $100 that I could pick up in the store and I was oh so close to buying it. But no, decided to check out CYBER Monday.com and came upon a great deal from Dell (every computer we have is a Dell, and I've had pretty good luck with them) on a wireless printer that was reduced drastically. So that was my guilty purchase today, and it was a good one--with 2 extra printer extra-capacity cartridges the whole thing came to a hundred bucks. Not a bad deal!

So again, I'm refusing to participate in the economic downturn--and in spite of the stock market crashing down over 679 points (sure hope I don't need that IRA for some time...) I'm going to continue to support good companies and try to keep the economy humming along....
